Here’s a neat trick for creating some quick Christmas Trees out
of your favorite photo corners…or the ones that have been taking
up room in your drawer for much too long!
Supplies:
Assorted photo corners – can be self-adhesive or not
Scissors

Cut the photo corner in half by making a straight cut up the center
of the corner, as shown.

Shift the two halves slightly so that one of the newly cut edges overlaps
the other half of the corner to line up with the far edge. Voila!
Larger photo or page corners, like the larger of the DaisyD’s
cardstock stickers shown here, make good card or scrapbook page embellishments.
Playing around with fancier photo corners that have shaped edges can
yield designer tree shapes. Smaller photo corners, or even triangles
treated in the same way as the photo corners, can double as trunks when
tucked under the bottom of each tree.

Smaller photo corners, like the Cansons used in the tag project below,
are sized for small gift tags or 3”x3” notes. These are
the variety of photo corner that have two parts, a decorative front
and an attached back that create a ‘pocket’ for inserting
a photo. To use this kind, cut the back from the front before beginning
and only use the decorative front for your tree. Use a glue runner or
other adhesive to attach the two halves to form the tree, and adhere
to your project.

Have fun, & enjoy holiday crafting!
